The Mighty Gators
VMFA-142 is a United States Marine Corps F/A-18 attack squadron based at Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Atlanta, GA. Currently the squadron is back at home in Dobbins after a 6 month deployment to Iraq.

Happy 4th of July to everyone over in Iraq also. It is difficult to send someone off for such a long time and miss out on so much of each others life.
We can celebrate freedom because of you, our men and women in uniform who sacrifice so much to protect the FREEDOM we ALL have in this country.

Hope you all had a happpy 4th! The safety and freedoms we enjoy are the result of your sacrifices. As I watched our local fireworks, I thought of you guys and gals, and past members of my family, who gave and are giving their all to protect our country. It was a mixture of joy and sadness. Thank God we are able to live in a place with the freedoms we have, and it's because of you. Semper Fi!
